18-karat gold ring, composed of a yellow and white gold setting with a yellow gold surround around the center stone. It is adorned in the center with an oval-cut sapphire of approximately 2.30 carats, in an intense blue color. The sapphire is bezel-set in a yellow gold circle, contrasting elegantly with the rest of the setting. Around the sapphire, a pavé setting of brilliant-cut diamonds forms an octagonal halo, with milgrain detailing (pearlized borders), adding depth and refinement to the whole. The pavé setting comprises 12 round diamonds, evenly distributed, with an estimated total weight of between 0.50 and 0.70 ct.
This is most likely a contemporary creation inspired by the 1920s–1930s, or even a faithful reproduction of the Art Deco style. The octagonal geometric design, the combination of white gold and yellow gold, and the use of milgrain motifs are typical features of the Art Deco period, but the fineness of the workmanship and the perfect condition suggest that it is a recent creation.
The style is Art Deco, characterized by strong geometric lines, contrasting metals, and rigorous symmetry. The halo setting and beaded setting of the diamonds are reminiscent of French fine jewelry from the 1920s, often made for formal occasions such as engagements or grand soirées. This type of ring is highly sought after for its classic elegance and luxurious visual effect.
