Ce pendentif raffiné en or jaune 18 carats est orné d’un grand Grenat, taillé en cabochon ovale bombé. Il est entouré d’un délicat entourage de perles blanches naturelles et de petites pierres facettées grises, pouvant être des diamants roses anciens, typiques des créations de la fin du XVIIIe ou début du XIXe siècle.

Le pendentif se distingue par son design symétrique et sa monture granuleuse en or jaune, finement ciselée, évoquant les techniques utilisées durant la période géorgienne ou victorienne (approximativement entre 1800 et 1880). Le petit nœud décoratif situé au sommet, orné de perles et de diamants en forme de losange, est une caractéristique décorative typique des bijoux romantiques, parfois utilisés dans les bijoux de deuil de cette époque.

Le contraste entre le grenat profond et les perles douces donne à la pièce une esthétique solennelle et élégante, très représentative des bijoux sentimentaux du XIXe siècle. Elle aurait pu être portée comme médaillon de souvenir, en pendentif ou sur une chaîne longue, souvent près du cœur.
